  <description> Rajasthan Royals were unable to beat the Kolkata Knight Riders in their final league match today and are now out of the IPL tournament. Rajasthan seemed off to a good start, getting 21 runs in the first over. But after they lost the wicket of Ojha in the second over, the Rajasthan batting line up tumbled down and they managed to gather a  meagre total of 101/9. For Kolkata, Langeveldt took 3 wickets giving away only 15 runs. Kolkata got a huge blow in the first over when Ganguly was caught by Jadeja off Patel's ball before he could score any runs. Kolkata lost wickets at regular intervals till the 11th over when they were at 45/6. Shukla was the pillar for Kolkata and he took the Knight Riders to a 4 wicket win over the Rajasthan Royals with his unbeaten 48 runs. Kolkata reached 102/6 in 19.3 overs. They have now won 2 consecutive matches in a row and even though Kolkata are not going to make it into the semis, they sure are important players in determining which 4 teams do get to play in the semi finals.

The Rajasthan Royals lost Smith(0) and Quiney(6) early and were 24/3 in 6.2 overs. Botha and Ravindra Jadeja tried to get their team back on track, but the final bow came in the form of Mishra in the 16th over who took 3 wickets in one over. The Rajasthan Royals could not recover from it and managed to get only 136/9. Now Rajasthan are in 5th place and they absolutely  have to beat Kolkata in their final league match to keep up their hopes of getting into the semis.

But it was not to be - Mortaza who bowled the final over melted under pressure and 26 runs came off the last over! Deccan took 166/4 and won the game by 6 wickets.

But Mathew Hayden anchored himself in the crease and remained unbeaten at 60. For Mumbai, Malinga bowled 4 overs giving away only 19 runs and taking a wicket. However, Kulkarni proved very expensive, conceding 45 runs in 4 overs. Chennai Super Kings reached 151/3 in 19.1 overs. Mumbai are now at the bottom of the table, just above Kolkata and they are almost out of the IPL tournament.

Brett lee took 3 wickets conceding only 15 runs and Sreesanth took the valuable wickets of Dilshan and de Villiers. Kings XI Punjab stumbled in the beginning of their innings after losing a few wickets. They were 3-35 in 5.2 overs. Punjab's pace was slow and soon they needed about 10 runs per over in the last 4 overs. But Sangakkara (43) and Irfan Pathan (21) played a great game and led their team to an absolutely essential win. Punjab reached 123/4 in 19.1 overs.

  <description>  Kings XI Punjab elected to bat first and lost the wicket of Katich in the 2nd over. Sohal with 43 runs and Gole with 20 were the major contributor's for the Punjab innings. Harbhajan Singh was amazing, taking a wicket and giving only 9 runs in 4 overs. DUminy (15-2) and Rahane (5-1) also helped limit the total of Punjab to under 120. After limiting Kings XI Punjab to 119/9, Chennai Super Kings cruised to victory at the loss of only 2 wickets and with 22 balls remaining. Bravo's unbeaten 70 runs were also instrumental in Mumbai's big win. Sachin Tendulkar finally found his form in this game and was not out for 41.

But McCullum(84) and Hussey(43)stuck together to take their team's total up to decent 173/4. A strong opening partnership by Ryder (22) and Kallis(32) laid the ground work for the Bangalore innings. Ross Taylor's unbeaten 81 sealed the deal for Bangalore. Taylor had a strike rate of 245.45 when he took 81 runs from only 33 balls. Karthik took 2 wickets for Kolkata, but their fielding was sloppy and they missed a few chances for run outs which may have changed the course of the game. The Royal Challengers reached their target in 19.2 overs at the loss of 4 wickets.</description>

Skipper Rahul Dravid's run out for only 10 runs was the turning point for Bangalore. Boucher did his best taking 48 runs, but it just wasn't enough to get Bangalore to its target. Mumbai Indians won by 16 runs. Duminy was named Man of the Match for his unbeaten 59 off only 51 balls.
