Chasing a modest target of 141 runs, Murali Vijay and Suresh Raina got out cheaply, but Matthew Hayden (48 off 44 balls) and S Badrinath (59 off 41 balls) helped Chennai Super Kings win by seven wickets against Rajasthan Royals.
Earlier Sri Lankan spin wizard Muttiah Muralitharan (2/22) and Shadab Jakati (2/35) took two wickets each to restrict the Royals to 140. Graeme Smith top scored with 30 of 33 balls.
