KKR v DD, Match 39: Kolkata lose to Delhi despite a good performance by Saurav Ganguly

Losing 2 wickets in the first over put Kolkata on the defensive soon after the match began. Nehra got McCullum with lbw for 6 runs and Hodge was caught by deVilliers off Nehra's ball and had to leave the field before he could take any runs. Ganguly did a good job for his team and was the top scorer for Kolkata Knight Riders with 44 runs. From 9/3 Ganguly took his team to 88/7. Agarkar scored 39 off 29 balls to put Kolkata's total at 123/8. Ashish Nehra (29-2) and Amit Mishra (14-3) were the leading wicket takers for Delhi Daredevils.

The Delhi innings cruised along without a hitch till Gautam Gambhir(18) lost his wicket in the 6th over to Henriques. Ishanth Sharma took two more wickets in the 8th over, those of Warner (36) and de Villiers (40). Though this slowed the Delhi Daredevils a bit, they still got to 125/3 with 17 balls remaining.
